Meet Erasmo “RAZ” Hernandez
Your Candidate for Justice of the Peace – Precinct 4
Deep Roots in Precinct 4
Erasmo “Raz” Hernandez isn’t just seeking to serve Precinct 4—his roots run deep in its soil. For over a century, his family has called this community home. They’ve built lives here, raised children here, and passed down values shaped by hard work, faith, and a deep love for their neighbors. Precinct 4 isn’t just where Raz is from—it’s the heart of who he is.
His grandparents came to this country with nothing but hope in their hearts and determination in their spirit. His grandmother’s dream was simple yet powerful: to become an American citizen so she could have the right to vote. She never gave up—and at 107 years old, she finally raised her right hand and became a naturalized citizen. Her journey inspired Raz to believe in the power of perseverance, and in the importance of treating everyone with fairness and respect.
Now, Raz is running to give back to the community that raised him—with a commitment to fairness, a belief in respect, and the experience to lead with integrity. Precinct 4 deserves a judge who follows the law, understands your story, shares your values, and never forgets where they came from.

My Vision
Fairness
Fairness is the foundation of real justice. As Justice of the Peace, I will ensure every case is approached with an open mind, without bias or favoritism-whether it's a small claims dispute, an eviction hearing, or a student facing truancy. I believe every person deserves a level playing field, where the law is applied equally, and the outcome is based on the facts—not on who you are or who you know. Fairness means giving every voice a chance to be heard and every person a chance to be understood.
Respect
Justice requires dignity and compassion. Our community is made up of hardworking people from all walks of life. Many come to court during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. I will ensure everyone-regardless of background, language, or circumstance-is treated with the dignity they deserve. That means clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and a courtroom that feels accessible not intimidating.
Experience
You can't teach experience-and I bring 34 years of it. I've worked in the courtroom for over two decades, supporting judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement. I know how the system works, where it fails people, and how to make it better. That experience matters, especially when lives, livelihoods, and justice are on the line.I'm prepared to make tough decisions, navigate complex cases, and serve our precinct from day one with confidence and clarity.
